Orion inverters background information
From as early as 2008, Australians began installing Orion inverters for their solar power needs. The most popular model was the 2 kW Orion inverter.
Initially, Orion inverters were generally sold with a three year warranty. (Most of these have now expired.) In subsequent years, the majority of Orion inverters were covered by a five-year warranty.

Common faults with Orion inverters
What is the warranty claim process for Orion inverters?
Even if the warranty on your faulty Orion inverter is still current, it may be a very costly exercise to have it replaced under warranty. This process entails:
- two site visits by our technicians (with fees applicable for each visit)
- one-way freight costs (at your expense)
- long wait times to have your system operating again
What is the most cost-effective option for replacing my Orion inverter?
In our experience, clients with faulty Orion inverters are often better off upgrading to a brand new inverter which comes with a new warranty period. This option is great if you want to avoid any further downtime for your system by having a new inverter installed as soon as possible. Speak with one of our helpful customer service representatives about upgrading your inverter by calling 1300 496 278.
Regardless of whether your inverter is covered by warranty or not, the best place to start resolving your inverter problems is with an inverter health check. If we can’t get your system up and running during the initial site visit, we’ll install a replacement unit during the same call out, saving you time and money on subsequent visits.
