No Utility fault – Orion inverter

What is a No Utility fault?

A ‘No Utility’ fault is the sign of a problem with the inverter’s AC connection. The first thing to do is check that the solar supply main switch located in the switch board is on. The issue may be due to your isolators or a fault in the switchboard. To identify the source of the problem and attempt to solve it, call Service My Solar for a health check. If textbook troubleshooting doesn’t eradicate the fault, your inverter may need replacing.

Is a No Utility fault covered by my warranty or home insurance?

The warranty that came with your Orion inverter would most likely have expired by now, but your home insurance may partially cover the cost of replacing your inverter. To check what your household insurance policy entails and file a claim, contact Service My Solar.

How do I fix a No Utility fault?

If you book a service with us, our electricians will establish what caused the fault and provide solutions. They’ll bring a spare inverter with them in case the fault isn’t fixable. This way, you won’t have to schedule a second visit, saving you time and money. Our preferred replacement options for Orion inverters are Growatt, Zeverlution and Fronius Galvo 2.
