Solar modules come with a product warranty and a performance warranty.

The product warranty usually covers defects in design, material, workmanship and manufacture that materially impede the functioning of your solar PV modules. Depending on the panel manufacturer, the product warranty can run from a period of 10 to 12 years.

The performance warranty typically has a duration of 25 years and relates to the amount of energy generated by your panels. The degradation rate is the expected decrease of power output produced by your modules; it is expressed in percentage of nominal power.
