Flashing 75% light – Latronics inverter

What does a flashing 75% light mean?

A flashing 75% light suggests a grid connection issue, unless it is associated with a solid 50% light, in which case it simply indicates that the inverter is close to hitting 75% of production.

If the 75% light’s flashing is unceasing, verify that the main solar supply switch in the meter box and the isolator switches on the inverter are on. If there is nothing to report, reach out to us for a system check-up.

Is a flashing 75% light fault covered by my warranty or home insurance?

Even the most recently installed Latronics inverters are now out of warranty. However, you might be able to claim a replacement under your household insurance, subject to your home insurer and policy. Don’t hesitate to give Service My Solar a call on 1300 496 278 for some assistance with your claim.

How do I fix a flashing 75% light fault?

If your Latronics inverter needs replacing, the replacement model will depend on the size of your current unit:

  • If your faulty inverter is a 1.2 kW one, you would have purchased it before the feed-in tariff reduced. Thus, if you wish to continue benefiting from your current FiT, you will have to replace it with a new or refurbished 1.2 kW Latronics inverter.
  • If your faulty model is a Latronics 2.5 kW, a suitable replacement is the 2.5 kW Fronius Galvo inverter. That being said, their different wiring involves rewiring the whole system, incurring considerable extra cost in addition to the inverter price. Therefore, it may be more cost-efficient to replace the entire system including the panels. You’d be getting a brand new solar PV system at roughly the same price as that of a replacement inverter. Moreover, this could be an opportunity to increase the size of your system, as prices have reduced significantly in the last few years.
